Meet the Instructor

Jason Surface | Certified CDL Instructor

Working both sides of the road, Jason has more than 2.5 million safe driving miles and almost a decade of experience as a program director for three Minnesota State College CDL programs.

Jason brings a broad perspective and firsthand experience working as an over-the-road driver, heavy haul driver, construction driver, and local delivery driver.

He has hauled tanker freight with oil and chemicals, construction equipment, including D-8 bulldozers and large excavators, van freight, flatbed freight, step deck freight, lowboy freight and oversized freight.

Over the years, Jason has helped many individuals earn a commercial driver’s license. His work teaching and driving trucks gives ProDriver CDL School students an unmatched learning experience. Students will learn from someone who has spent his entire career in the trucking industry and understands everything involved in driving a large commercial vehicle. Jason ensures that all his students will learn the necessary skills and gain the knowledge they need to turn their truck-driving careers into a success story they can be proud of!

Jason holds a bachelor’s degree in business and a master’s degree in education and leadership. He currently works as the Director of Transportation for a midsized distribution company covering a six-state area with seven locations in the Northcentral United States.
